ATP Jets Leadership Visits Simtech Aviation's Pilot Training Center in Dublin in October 2026

November 2, 2026

Ireland – US-based FAA Part 142 airline pilot training provider ATP Jets has visited Simtech Aviation's simulator training center near Dublin Airport, bringing together senior representatives from the two organisations. The visit was disclosed by ATP Jets Vice President and Director of Operations Shane Kelley and provided an opportunity for engagement between US and European providers of advanced airline pilot training.

  • Two ATP Jets executives participated in the visit: Shane Kelley, Vice President and Director of Operations, and Gordie Cohen, Director of Training. They were hosted by Simtech Aviation's Director of Engineering, Ciaran Ivory, alongside members of the training and engineering team, including an Airbus A320 subject-matter expert.
  • ATP Jets provides FAA-approved Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP CTP) courses, Airbus A320 type ratings and other advanced airline training services. The organisation has expanded its US training network during 2026, adding access to simulator facilities in several major aviation markets.
  • Simtech Aviation delivers EASA and UK CAA Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Cooperation (APS MCC) training, aircraft type ratings and full flight simulator services from its Dublin facility. Its training activities cover Airbus, Boeing and ATR aircraft platforms.
  • AFM previously reported that Simtech Aviation expanded its Dublin simulator infrastructure in August 2026 with the introduction of a new CAE Airbus A320 CEO/NEO Full Flight Simulator. Additional Airbus A330 CEO/NEO and A321XLR devices are planned as part of the center's wider development.
  • Both organisations provide airline transition and simulator-based pilot training, although their programs operate under different regulatory frameworks.
  • Simtech's published training equipment includes Airbus A320, ATR 72-500 and ATR 72-600 full flight simulators, alongside fixed-base Boeing 737-800NG and generic twin-jet devices. ATP Jets has separately expanded its Airbus A320 and Boeing 737NG training device inventory in the United States.
