Australia-based Flight Training Group SFC Australia Welcomes New 2024 Batch with Plans to Expand to Multiple Bases
Bankstown Airport, New South Wales, Australia headquartered Sydney Flight College (SFC) Australia announced the arrival of its latest batch of aspiring pilots, marking a significant step forward in the pursuit of aviation excellence. The institution proudly shares that 25% of the incoming students are talented females, a noteworthy accomplishment aligning with their “25 by 25” initiative. This initiative aims to achieve a 25% representation of women pilots at SFC by 2025.
SFC earlier in 2024 appointed Andrew McIntosh as the new Head of Operations. “Excited to start as Head of Operations at SFC Australia, as the organisation expands into Tamworth NSW with an exceptional flight training product,” said McIntosh.
Back in November 2023 SFC announced it has officially opened its new pilot academy at Tamworth Regional Airport which was formerly utilized by the Royal Australian Air Force. With full-time operations to begin in July 2024, the SFC Pilot Academy Tamworth will deliver training to over 100 students each year, delivering a newly designed course created to meet the needs and requirements of the global airline industry.
SFC currently operates a fleet of Piper Archer TX, Diamond DA42, Cessna 182, Piper Archer, and Piper Warrior.
