With extensive experience in military and civil aviation, Mr. Lea brings a wealth of safety expertise to the Basair Group, enhancing the institution’s commitment to top-tier safety standards.

• Christopher Lea is an ATPL(H) licensed pilot, flight instructor, and senior aviation manager, with approximately 7,000 hours of aeronautical experience across military and civil aviation.
• He joins Basair with 30 years of active military service and 10 years of Reserve service, all in Army Aviation.
• Mr. Lea has worked with aerospace leaders Boeing and Airbus in Australia and the United States, as well as with the British and Australian Army Aviation.
• His focus at Basair will be on delivering safety leadership and supporting organizational excellence for both staff and students.
