Australia – Helicopter operator and training provider Corsaire Aviation has completed installation of an ELITE Simulation Solutions S623T AS355 FNPT II helicopter flight training device at its Jandakot facility in Perth, Western Australia, with the device now being prepared for Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) qualification.

  • The simulator incorporates a SimVIS TruVIEW visual system providing a 200° horizontal by 40° vertical field of view. SimVIS engineers were on site at Corsaire's facility in early August conducting installation and integration work.
  • ELITE said the completed device will support scenario-based training, instrument procedures, crew proficiency and standardisation without requiring all exercises to be conducted in an aircraft. The simulator is based on the AS355, a helicopter type also listed within Corsaire Aviation's operational fleet.
  • AFM previously reported on August 3, 2026 that Corsaire Aviation had received the simulator and that SimVIS was conducting on-site installation and integration.
  • Corsaire Aviation's current fleet page identifies the Eurocopter EC130, Airbus/Eurocopter AS350, Robinson R22 and R44, and Guimbal Cabri G2 as aircraft available for flight training. The operator also lists an AS355 Twin Squirrel, Bell 206 Jet Ranger and Leonardo AW109 among its wider helicopter fleet, alongside several fixed-wing aircraft.
