Australia’s Sydney Flight College Reports 2025 Metrics

Australia – Sydney Flight College (SFC Australia), a flight training group operating two bases, has published its 2025 year‑in‑review highlighting record student outcomes, expanded engagement initiatives, growth in instructional capacity, and investments in training infrastructure.

  • SFC marked its first Pilot Academy Tamworth graduation, celebrated at Gala 2025, underscoring expansion of its academy footprint.

  • Training milestones achieved in 2025 included:

    • 102 first solos

    • 82 recreational pilot licenses

    • 74 private pilot licenses

    • 70 commercial pilot licenses

    • 53 multi‑engine instrument ratings

    • 31 flight instructor ratings

    • 9 multi‑crew cooperation courses

    • 43 upset prevention and recovery training courses

    • 25,000 total flight hours

  • Operational capacity expanded across SFC’s fleet of 39 aircraft and 53 instructors, including 16 new instructors and six longstanding instructors transitioning to airline roles

  • Training infrastructure updates featured the addition of one new Alsim flight simulator and one PA‑44 Seminole aircraft, enhancing multi‑engine and instrument training capabilities.

  • At the Australian Land & Air Championships (ALACs), SFC placed 3rd overall in Spot Landings
  • The college received its CAR 30 Certificate of Approval, enabling SFC to conduct all aircraft maintenance

  • Through the 2025 connection program, SFC facilitated 18 aviation experience days, 420 meet & greets, and 71 expos (an 18% increase versus 2024)

  • SFC executed three roadshow circuits across New Zealand, Central West & Dubbo, and Riverina, covering 4,294 km and engaging in 2,111 conversations at expos, alongside 13 club events.

  • The college was featured eight times across Australian media, and hosted two successful pilot academy open days, contributing to brand visibility and recruitment.

  • Community growth included 810 members, 269 enrolled students, and 143 graduates in 2025
