Avia Solutions Group Appoints Zilvinas Lapinskas as CEO

Lithuania – Avia Solutions Group, the aviation services group, the world's largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider and owner of BAA Training, has appointed Zilvinas Lapinskas as Chief Executive Officer, effective 7 July 2025. The appointment of an operationally experienced subsidiary CEO to group-level leadership signals a shift toward execution-led growth at a company whose scale — 14,000 personnel across 68 countries — makes its strategic direction a factor in ACMI crew supply, MRO capacity, and pilot training throughput via its BAA Training subsidiary.

• Lapinskas previously served as CEO of FL Technics Group, a subsidiary of Avia Solutions Group, where he expanded the MRO provider from a European operation into a global business serving Tier 1 carriers across multiple continents.
• Lapinskas retains his seat on the Avia Solutions Group Board of Directors and will continue as CEO of FL Technics until the end of July 2026, when a successor will be named.
• Jonas Janukenas, who led the group as CEO for nearly nine years, has transitioned to the role of Chief Financial Officer, where he will focus on capital allocation, financial strategy, and long-term growth objectives.
• Gediminas Ziemelis, founder and Chairman of the Board, remains in his governance role overseeing the leadership transition.
