Slovenia – Maribor-based aviation and pilot training organisation Aviation Career Center Slovenia (ACC) has been confirmed as an official IATA Regional Training Partner, extending its role beyond ab initio pilot education into broader airline and aviation industry training offering.

  • As an IATA Regional Training Partner, ACC will offer selected IATA classroom courses at its Maribor premises, delivered by IATA instructors using official IATA training materials, giving aviation professionals in the region access to internationally recognised training without travelling to more distant international centres.
  • The partnership broadens ACC's training scope to include programs relevant to airline operations, safety and compliance, aviation security, passenger services, ground operations, airline management, and regulatory standards.
  • ACC has identified the Balkan region as the primary target market for the expanded offering, with the partnership directly serving airlines, airports, ground handling companies, and aviation service providers across Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania, and neighbouring markets.

Statements

  • "Becoming an IATA Regional Training Partner is an important milestone for Aviation Career Center Slovenia and for aviation education in this part of Europe. ACC has been built around the idea of connecting people with aviation careers, and today we are proud to take this mission to a new international level," said Miha Gašperin, representative, Aviation Career Center Slovenia.
  • "As Slovenia's largest aviation school, we already train future professional pilots from many countries around the world. Through this partnership with IATA, we are expanding our role from pilot education to broader airline and aviation industry training. Our goal is to bring internationally recognized knowledge and standards closer to airlines, airports, ground handlers, aviation professionals, and future talents across the Balkan region," said Miha Gašperin, representative, Aviation Career Center Slovenia.
  • "The Balkan aviation market has great potential, but its continued development depends on skilled people, high-quality training, and international standards. This partnership gives us the opportunity to contribute directly to the long-term growth, safety, and competitiveness of aviation in the region," said Miha Gašperin, representative, Aviation Career Center Slovenia.
