Global – PlaneEnglish, a provider of aviation radio communication training solutions, has announced the launch of Volo™ (Beta) in April 2026 — a new in-app flight simulator environment integrated with AI-powered air traffic control within its ARSim platform, enabling pilots to fly full scenarios while practising ATC communications in a single seamless experience.
- Volo™ represents a significant product evolution for PlaneEnglish, moving ARSim beyond standalone radio communication practice into end-to-end scenario-based training that combines realistic flight simulation with live AI ATC interaction. Pilots will no longer need to switch between separate tools or imagine the cockpit environment during communication training.
- The feature is designed to build real-world communication and decision-making skills under realistic pressure, from initial radio calls through to final approach, replicating the cognitive load of managing both flight tasks and ATC communication simultaneously.
- For flight schools and training organisations, Volo™ offers a scalable approach to integrated communication and scenario training that can supplement simulator and aircraft-based instruction. The feature is included with all paid ARSim subscriptions at no additional cost.
- PlaneEnglish has built a significant institutional footprint across the U.S. flight training market. Recent partnerships include College of DuPage (February 2026), Ascent Aviation Academy at Van Nuys Airport (December 2025), Utah State University's Aviation Technology program (September 2025), and AlphaFlight in Indiana (July 2025).
