USA — AviatorPro and Liberty University are proud to announce a strategic partnership to develop and launch a new FAA Part 147 aviation maintenance training platform designed to modernize how future aircraft maintenance technicians are educated and prepared for the workforce.

As the launch customer, Liberty University will play an active role in helping AviatorPro develop and refine course content, ensuring the platform meets the needs of today's aviation maintenance students, instructors, and employers. The collaboration represents a significant step forward in bringing modern learning technology, data analytics, and digital courseware to a segment of aviation training that has historically lagged behind other areas of the industry.

The FAA Part 147 platform will provide students with engaging, interactive content while giving instructors greater visibility into student progress and performance. The goal is to improve learning outcomes, enhance student retention, and better prepare graduates for successful careers as aviation maintenance technicians.

"Aircraft maintenance professionals are the backbone of aviation safety, yet many training programs still rely on educational methods that have changed very little over the past several decades," said Luke Ormsby, President of AviatorPro. "Working alongside Liberty University allows us to build a modern solution that reflects how today's students learn while helping schools deliver a higher-quality educational experience."

Liberty University has established itself as one of the nation's leading aviation education institutions and has the capacity to train 162 aviation maintenance students per year in its 12-month program. The university continues to invest in innovative technologies and educational approaches that prepare graduates for careers across the aviation industry.

"Liberty University is committed to advancing technology throughout aviation education, while remaining grounded in our mission to equip, mentor, and send Champions for Christ into the aerospace community," said Steven Brinly, Dean, Liberty University School of Aeronautics. "By partnering with AviatorPro, we have an opportunity to help shape the future of aviation maintenance training. This effort has been meaningfully advanced through the leadership and expertise of Jonny Hewitt and David Blanton, whose contributions have helped ensure the platform aligns with both the Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) and industry needs. This platform will not only benefit our students but also contribute to strengthening the broader aviation workforce."

The partnership comes at a critical time for the aviation industry. Airlines, maintenance repair organizations (MROs), manufacturers, and operators across the country continue to face a growing shortage of qualified aviation maintenance technicians. Industry forecasts indicate that tens of thousands of new mechanics will be needed in the coming years to support fleet growth, aircraft modernization, and retirements within the existing workforce.

By combining Liberty University's educational expertise with AviatorPro's advanced learning management system and digital training capabilities, the partnership aims to help address this workforce challenge while setting a new standard for aviation maintenance education.

The FAA Part 147 platform is currently under development, with Liberty University serving as the initial implementation partner and providing valuable feedback to ensure the curriculum aligns with both regulatory requirements and industry needs.
