BAA Training Promotes Monika Kurzinė to Head of Training Development

Lithuania – BAA Training, a global pilot training organisation and part of the Avia Solutions Group, has appointed Monika Kurzinė as Head of Training Development, promoting her from her previous role as Senior Product Development Manager within the organization.

• As Head of Training Development, Kurzinė will lead training product development and lifecycle management aligned with business strategy and market needs, build and lead multidisciplinary teams across Training Development, Instructional Systems Design (ISD), and Aviation Personnel functions, and drive strategic initiatives focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• The role encompasses oversight of staffing strategy, talent acquisition, succession planning, and cross-functional knowledge sharing, as well as driving the creation and improvement of training materials, curricula, and digital learning solutions.
• Kurzinė will also oversee aviation personnel planning, sourcing, onboarding, and performance management, coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Training, HR, and Operations teams, and monitor product performance, profitability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• The position includes leading change management initiatives supporting organizational transformation and scalability, and representing training development interests in strategic discussions contributing to long-term business growth.

BAA Training operates simulator centers in Spain, France, Lithuania, and Vietnam, with a global sales office in Dubai and consultancy centers across India (New Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru), handling approximately 100,000 flight hours annually on its own FFS/FTD devices, providing type rating to over 1,200 pilots, and serving more than 100 airlines globally.
