Boeing Australia Seeks to Hire Senior Technical Product Owner – Commercial Pilot Training in 2026

Australia – Boeing Global Services, the training and services division of Boeing, is seeking a Senior Technical Product Owner for Commercial Pilot Training to be based in Brisbane, Australia, in a hybrid working capacity — a role central to the development of a large-scale, next-generation pilot training simulation product.

• The position sits within Boeing Global Services and involves ownership and management of the product backlog across three simulation systems workstreams within a geographically distributed programme. The role operates within a Kanban-based agile development environment focused on high-frequency software delivery.
• The Senior Technical Product Owner will act as the primary interface between business and engineering stakeholders, distributed development teams and parallel programme workstreams, translating high-level pilot training requirements and simulation system specifications into detailed, actionable engineering tasks.
• Key responsibilities include backlog management across epics, features, user stories and technical tasks; monitoring workflow via Kanban boards including cycle time, throughput and work-in-progress metrics; risk identification and escalation within simulation workstreams; and ensuring delivered increments meet simulation fidelity, latency and scalability requirements relevant to pilot training systems.
• Preferred experience includes backgrounds in simulation, embedded systems, real-time software or aerospace and defence, with prior work on flight simulators, virtual training environments or safety-critical software development considered advantageous. The role requires familiarity with regulated industry standards applicable to aviation or defence.
