Boeing Introduces CBTA Learning Library with Partner Flight Schools
Ireland & United Kingdom – Boeing has introduced its Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) Learning Library, in collaboration with Atlantic Flight Training Academy (Ireland) and Leading Edge Aviation (UK). The initiative aims to transform Ab Initio pilot training by equipping instructors and cadets with enhanced tools for competency development and performance assessment.
- Boeing launched the CBTA Learning Library, a digital resource supporting competency-based pilot training at the Ab Initio stage
- The library includes ICAO-aligned explainer video series, formative assessments, and summative evaluations for cadets
- Developed in collaboration with Atlantic Flight Training Academy (AFTA) and Leading Edge Aviation, among others
- The initiative focuses on real-time decision-making, behavioral assessment, and building individual resilience
- Enhances standardization and consistency in training methodologies across global flight schools
- Aims to meet evolving regulatory and industry standards while adapting to future training needs
- CBTA framework also supports aviation maintenance training, improving real-world readiness and safety
