Boeing Names Steve Roberton President for Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific
Australia – Boeing has appointed Air Vice-Marshal (Ret’d) Steve “Zed” Roberton, DSC, AM, as President for Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, effective January 5, 2026, strengthening leadership across the company’s commercial, defence, and training-related activities in the region.

Roberton will oversee Boeing Australia Holdings as chairperson, lead strategic initiatives, expand partner collaborations, and serve as Boeing’s senior government liaison across Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.

He brings more than 30 years of operational, command, and capability development experience from the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), including 26 years as a fighter pilot and service with Australian combat units and the United States Marine Corps.

His leadership background includes commanding the inaugural Operation OKRA Air Task Group in the Middle East, for which he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, as well as senior roles such as Commander of the RAAF Air Combat Group, Air Commander Australia, and Head Force Design within the Vice Chief of the Defence Force Group.

Following his retirement from the RAAF in September 2022, Roberton served as a senior advisor at McKinsey & Company and began consulting for Boeing Defence Australia in June 2025.
