Bristol Groundschool Launches Jet2-Tagged ATPL Scholarship

United Kingdom – ATPL theory provider Bristol Groundschool has launched one fully funded ATPL Distance Learning scholarship linked to Jet2.com’s Jet2NextGen future pilot talent programme.

• Applications for the single scholarship close on October 31, 2026. The successful applicant must accept the award within 14 days of notification and begin the course within six months unless another timetable is agreed.
• The scholarship covers Bristol Groundschool’s specified ATPL theory course.
• Applicants must hold a valid UK CAA Private Pilot Licence and Class 1 medical, have unrestricted UK work rights and demonstrate English proficiency as a native speaker or through a minimum IELTS Academic score of 5.5 or aviation English Level 5. Candidates must also be able to obtain a UK CAA frozen ATPL within the agreed timeframe.
• Applications require a summary of the candidate’s education and flying experience and a personal statement covering interests and long-term career objectives, each limited to 500 words.
• The scholarship recipient will be invited to Jet2NextGen assessment once the eligibility requirements are met. The airline-linked element is conditional and does not provide automatic employment; an unsuccessful Jet2 assessment would end the tagging opportunity but would not withdraw the ATPL scholarship.
• A candidate who passes the Jet2NextGen assessment will be subject to the same conditional job-offer terms as applicants entering the programme directly.
• Bristol Groundschool’s ATPL(A) course covers 13 UK CAA theory subjects across three modules and requires 650 learning hours, including 65 hours of live tuition. The course can normally be completed over approximately six to 18 months, depending on the trainee’s study schedule.
