BRM Aero Wins Top Regional Innovation Award in Czech Republic
Czech Republic — BRM AERO, manufacturer of the Bristell line of aircraft, has been named the Innovation Company of the Year 2025 in the Zlín Region for its pioneering work on the all-electric Bristell B23 Energic. The award, presented on 24 November 2025 at Holešov Castle, recognises the aircraft’s transformational impact on sustainable pilot training.
-
The Bristell B23 Energic, developed in partnership with Swiss electric aviation firm H55, was selected from 28 nominees for its innovation in zero-emission flight, 90%+ reduction in operational costs, and low-noise performance.
-
Originating from the legacy of the Solar Impulse project, the B23 Energic has undergone extensive testing in Europe and the United States since 2019, with production set to ramp up from 2026–2027.
-
The aircraft offers a 60-minute flight duration, rapid charging, and is aligned with CS-23/FAR-23 certification pathways — targeting the training market.
-
A Euro 2 million specialised electric aircraft production facility will break ground in Kunovice in December 2025, featuring infrastructure designed for high-voltage and battery-safe assembly environments.
-
BRM AERO plans to grow from 140 to 240+ employees in five years as it scales B23 Energic production and launches new aircraft models.
-
This milestone builds on the Zlín Region’s 90-year aviation heritage, dating back to Tomáš Baťa’s aircraft factory in 1934, which helped establish Kunovice as a hub for light aircraft manufacturing.
