CAE Appoints Mark Morris as Regional Training Leader for Asia-Pacific

Malaysia – CAE has appointed Mark Morris as Regional Training Leader for Asia-Pacific within its Civil Aviation Training Solutions business, with the role based in Kuala Lumpur. His remit includes working with airlines, regulators and CAE's regional teams to improve training delivery and advance Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) across APAC, adding dedicated regional leadership around training standards as airlines expand and transition fleets.

• The appointment took effect in July 2026 after more than four years with CAE. Morris joined the company in February 2022 as Airlines Operations Training Manager – APAC and subsequently served as Head of Training Performance for the APAC region.
• Before joining CAE, Morris spent more than 15 years as a Captain with Singapore Airlines, from October 2006 until April 2022. His profile also lists previous responsibility as Deputy Chief Pilot – Training and Standards with Singapore Airlines Cargo.
• Morris' CBTA responsibilities have included engagement with regulators and airlines outside CAE's own training centers. In December 2025, he represented CAE as a CBTA training leader at South Korea's 30th Aviation Safety Seminar, participating in a competency-based training and assessment session alongside representatives from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Korean Air, Asiana Airlines and Jin Air.
• His new role is based in Kuala Lumpur, one of CAE's established commercial aviation training locations in Southeast Asia. CAE stated in 2024 that its Kuala Lumpur facility supported more than 30 airlines with pilot and cabin crew training.
• CAE's current Asia-Pacific civil aviation training network includes facilities in markets such as Australia, India, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and the Philippines, providing airline training across multiple Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft families.
