Canada– CAE, the Montreal-headquartered global leader in aviation and defence training solutions, has affirmed its support for the newly released Canada Defence Industrial Strategy (DIS), which sets a roadmap for advancing sovereign industrial capabilities and strengthening Canada’s global defence competitiveness.

  • The Defence Industrial Strategy, centred on the principles Build. Partner. Buy., prioritizes domestic capability development, including simulation and training solutions — core areas of CAE’s global leadership.
  • CAE welcomed the strategy as a catalyst to scale sovereign training and operational support systems across air, land, and naval domains, emphasizing the company's capacity to contribute through Integrated Flight Training (IFT), mission rehearsal, and advanced simulation.
  • The company highlighted that to deliver on DIS ambitions, Canada must foster an agile, investment-friendly ecosystem that enables Canadian defence champions to scale globally while supporting the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) with cutting-edge capability.
  • CAE leverages a network of over 400 Canadian SMEs in its supply chain and reaffirmed its readiness to collaborate with the Government of Canada, the Defence Investment Agency, academia, and Indigenous partners to translate strategic priorities into actionable, value-driven programs.
  • With nearly 80 years of experience in training and simulation, CAE positions itself as a pillar of Canada’s defence base and a trusted global partner, exporting simulation and training technologies to allied nations worldwide.

Statements

  • “Canada’s Defence Industrial Strategy sets a clear course to advance sovereign capability and deliver real outcomes for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). As a strategic partner to the Government of Canada, CAE stands ready to turn vision into action, accelerating training and mission readiness programs and mobilizing a network of more than 400 SMEs across the defence supply chain. As a global leader, we welcome the recognition of training and simulation, across air, land, and sea, as a Canadian sovereign capability. Our expertise can be one of Canada’s greatest contributions to allies worldwide. We look forward to working with government and industry to scale domestic capacity, grow exports, and ensure the CAF receives world-class capability — faster. This is the moment to turn commitments into results, with speed, discipline, and purpose.”Matt Bromberg, Group President, CAE Defense & Security.
