CAE Boeing 737 MAX Full Flight Simulator Now Ready for Training at MAB Academy

Malaysia – MAB Academy, the training and development arm of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), has brought a new CAE Boeing 737 MAX full-flight simulator into training service at its Simulator Building in Sepang. The device adds dedicated 737-8 training capacity as Malaysia Airlines continues to expand its Boeing narrowbody fleet, with CAE and MAB Academy marking the milestone during APATS 2026.

• As of May 24, 2026, MAG had taken delivery of 18 Boeing 737-8 aircraft from a total narrowbody commitment of 55 aircraft, comprising 43 737-8s and 12 737-10s, with deliveries scheduled through 2030. The additional simulator capacity supports a fleet type that is increasing in scale within Malaysia Airlines' operations.
• The new simulator is installed at MAB Academy's Simulator Building in the South Support Zone at Sepang. The facility, which opened in January 2026, contains six full-flight simulator bays and previously identified A330neo, Boeing 737-800NG and ATR 72-500 devices among its training equipment.
• CAE and Malaysia Airlines have worked together on aviation training since 2008. The latest simulator delivery extends that relationship into dedicated 737-8 training as Malaysia Aviation Group develops additional internal training capacity for its airline operations.
• AFM previously reported that MAB Academy selected CAE in October 2025 to supply the Boeing 737 MAX FFS.
