CAE Breaks Ground on New Simulator Training Center in the US

16th May 2022

CAE announced it has broke ground on a new business aviation training centre in Savannah, Georgia, United States. Neighboring Gulfstream’s Headquarters in Savannah, this brand-new training centre is another milestone in the expansion of CAE’s training network and will be its fifth business aviation training centre in the United States.

“Gulfstream and CAE have a longstanding relationship and the new Savannah Training Centre brings two industry leaders together in one location to deliver a seamless experience for our customers,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE’s Group President, Civil Aviation. “As Gulfstream’s deliveries continue to grow, CAE will be perfectly located to meet its customers’ pilot and maintenance training requirements. We look forward to opening our doors in mid-2023 and becoming an integral part of Savannah’s vibrant business aviation community.”

When it is fully operational, this state-of-the-art Savannah training centre will be equipped with four Gulfstream-family full-flight simulators (FFSs), maintenance training devices, modern briefing rooms, and classrooms.

The Savannah Training Centre represents another significant milestone in the growth CAE’s business aviation training network and its commitment to help meet the global requirement for an additional 45,000 business jet pilots over the next 10 years.

“As I signed my name on the beam, I envisioned the thousands of skilled pilots and maintenance professionals who will be trained here in the years to come. I realized I was not simply signing a ceremonial beam; I was signing a promise for an even safer business aviation community. I am proud to continue our valued relationship with Gulfstream, a leading business aviation OEM, and a company with an outstanding reputation. I would also like to thank Savannah Technical College facilitated through Savannah Economic Development Authority for helping us launch our maintenance training – thanks to you, we will soon support our customers and provide them with a full circle experience,” said Marc Parent, President and Chief Executive Officer CAE in a statement.
