Europe –CAE is seeking to hire a Chief Flight Instructor (FSTD) to lead standardization and instructor development at its Flight Training Organization. The role will ensure compliance with global aviation regulations and CAE’s internal quality standards, while mentoring instructors and supporting the Head of Training.
Candidate Requirements
Hold a valid EASA & UK CAA ATPL with relevant Part-FCL ratings or certificatesCertified as an EASA FCL FE or UK CAA FCL FE (other NAA approvals advantageous)At least 3 years of experience managing instructor training at an Approved Training Organization (ATO)Extensive experience in training Ab Initio cadets, including MCCBachelor’s degree or equivalent preferredStrong experience working with aviation regulatory authorities and compliance processes
Key Duties
Lead instructor standardization, compliance, and safety programsDevelop and oversee initial, recurrent, and remedial instructor training programsMonitor and evaluate instructor performance and retraining needsCollaborate with the Training Design team to update materials to CAE and NAA standardsRepresent the Head of Training and liaise with global FTO teams to ensure training consistencyPromote a strong safety and compliance culture within the instructor team
