CAE is Seeking to Hire a Head of Training in 2025 to Oversee 16 European Training Centers

Europe –CAE is hiring an EMEA Head of Training for its Commercial Aviation Training (CAT) centres across Europe. This senior leadership position oversees training delivery at 16 European centres, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

We are looking for a dynamic leader who will report to the Director of Operations & Deputy Accountable Manager for the CAT Approved Training Organisation (ATO).This role can be based in any of our CAT centres in Europe – ideally Gatwick, Amsterdam, Madrid, Brussels, Copenhagen, Stockholm or Milan – you will need to be prepared to be in the office at least 3 days per week and be flexible to travel 30-35% of your time.

Key Responsibilities

Represent CAE EMEA from an ATO organizational point of viewLead regional training delivery functions under EASA and UK CAA standardsManage a team of 6–10 direct reports plus indirect training staffOversee training staff resourcing and qualificationMonitor compliance with ATO Operating and Training Manuals (OM and TM)Set and report on Training Delivery KPIsDevelop and optimize ATO policies and processesCollaborate with Operations, Training Center leadership, Training Services Managers, Sales, and Safety/Compliance teamsSupport client management regarding training performance issuesTravel across Europe (approximately 30–35%)

Candidate Requirements

Hold or have held in the past 3 years an EASA and UK Part FCL ATPL license and associated certificatesBachelor’s degree or equivalent qualificationsExtensive instructor experience for professional pilot licenses or associated ratings3+ years’ experience managing pilot training at an ATO and/or AOCDeep understanding of regulatory requirements and ATO approval processesStrong leadership, organizational, and compliance-focused mindset

Job Location

Can be based at any major CAE CAT centre in Europe: ideally at Gatwick, Amsterdam, Madrid, Brussels, Copenhagen, Stockholm, or MilanFlexible office attendance (minimum 3 days per week)
