CAE Seeking 2025 Applications for Supporting Crew Member Programme in 2 US Locations

USA – CAE is actively recruiting for its Supporting Crew Member (SCM) programme at its Dallas, TX and Morristown, NJ training centres. The programme is designed to train and qualify participants to provide right-seat support for clients undergoing FAA-approved 14 CFR 142 simulator-based training.

  • SCMs will receive formal SIC simulator training for select aircraft types.
  • The role is on-call (fixed term), and participants must reside in the Dallas or Morristown area.
  • Candidates must be available for a minimum of 35 events annually and commit to 10–15 days per month.
  • The schedule can include shifts of at least 5 hours and may be assigned 24/7.
  • The programme is suitable for:
  • Aspiring pilot professionals seeking advanced simulator exposure.
  • Experienced pilots transitioning from full-time flying roles but wanting to stay current.
  • SCMs also gain access to CAE’s advanced training and enrichment programmes at no cost.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot certificate
  • Airplane Multi-Engine land
  • Instrument rating with 50 hours of multi-engine and instrument experience
  • 400 hours Total Time (100 hours of turbine, preferred)
  • Available for a minimum of 35 events in a 12-month period to stay current and receive recurrent training
  • Must live within the Dallas or Morristown area
  • Must be able to commit 10-15 days of work a month
  • Scheduling is at a minimum of 5 hours at a time and could be scheduled 24/7
