California, USA - California Aeronautical University (CAU) is proud to announce the approval of Aviation Adventures as its newest Reach Flight Center, expanding access to university-level aviation education across Virginia.

Through the Reach Flight Center initiative, CAU partners with established flight schools nationwide to provide a coordinated pathway in which students complete in-person flight training locally while earning a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics online from CAU. This approach allows students to train close to home while gaining the academic foundation and career support of a university dedicated exclusively to aviation.

“We’re excited to welcome Aviation Adventures to the Reach Flight Center network,” said Matthew Johnston, President of California Aeronautical University. “With five locations throughout Virginia, Aviation Adventures provides strong regional access to high-quality flight training. This partnership creates new opportunities for students across the state to elevate their pilot careers while earning a university degree.”

Founded in 1989, Aviation Adventures has built a reputation for accessible, structured, and safety focused flight instruction. By joining the Reach Flight Center initiative, Aviation Adventures will provide students the opportunity to pair local flight training with CAU’s online aeronautics degree program, creating a comprehensive pathway toward commercial pilot careers.

“We are proud and excited to be selected as a CAU Reach Flight Center in the Mid-Atlantic area,” said Bob Hepps, Owner of Aviation Adventures. “Students seeking a fast track to a career in aviation through a bachelor’s degree program will be propelled by the incredibly efficient CAU curriculum. Career guidance, financial aid to those who qualify, FAA approved local flight training, a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics, and pathways to regional airline cockpits – this program has it all!”

As a CAU student enrolled through Reach Flight Centers, students gain access to:

  • University-level resources and support services
  • Federal financial aid to those who qualify
  • Structured, fast-track career pathways to commercial pilot careers
  • Direct pathways to both major and regional airlines, including United and SkyWest

The addition of Aviation Adventures marks the continued growth of CAU’s Reach Flight Center network, which is designed to expand access to pilot training nationwide while helping address the aviation industry’s growing workforce needs.

Graduates of CAU’s Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics program have been hired by Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Amazon cargo carriers, emergency medical operators, and more.
