Canadian Flight School Welcomes 25 Students in September 2026 Pilot Training Intake

Canada – Toronto Airways has welcomed a new 2026 intake of 25 students to its pilot training operation in Ontario, including eight female trainees — the largest female group the flight school has reported in a single intake.

• Toronto Airways now conducts its flight training activity from Peterborough Regional Airport, where it developed a new purpose-built facility after relocating its operation from Oshawa.
• The flight school's primary professional pathway is the Canadian Integrated Airline Transport Pilot Licence (CIATPL), delivered in partnership with Centennial College. Toronto Airways states that the program combines ground school, aircraft and simulator training with Commercial Pilot, multi-engine and Group 1 instrument training alongside airline-oriented SOP, CRM, MCC, scenario-based and line-oriented training.
• Toronto Airways and Centennial College School of Aviation operate a modern 16-aircraft training fleet, including newer Tecnam P2006T and P2010 aircraft.
• The new Peterborough operation forms part of Toronto Airways' longer-term training-capacity development. The flight school began developing its purpose-built airport facility in 2025 after operating for many years from Oshawa Executive Airport. Peterborough Regional Airport has a 7,000-ft runway and hosts more than 20 aviation and aerospace businesses.
