Canada – ITPS Canada, a London, Ontario-based organisation specialising in advanced flight test training and applied research for military and civilian sectors, has appointed George Burton to its Advisory Board, strengthening its academic and community leadership advisory capacity as it continues to develop its facilities in London and North Bay.

  • George Burton brings three terms of service as President and CEO of Canadore College in North Bay, Ontario, during which he oversaw strengthened industry-academic partnerships, applied research initiatives, and the college's role in workforce and economic development across Northern Ontario.
  • His appointment is directly relevant to ITPS Canada's North Bay operations, where the proximity of Canadore College — a post-secondary institution with over 80 full-time programmes and approximately 1,000 graduates annually — represents a natural institutional partnership for applied aerospace training and workforce pipeline development.
  • The advisory board expansion reflects ITPS Canada's stated mission to enhance global security through innovative aerospace solutions, with Burton's community and government partnership experience adding a strategic dimension to the board's composition.

  • "George is a highly respected Canadian leader whose career achievements and proven track record of academic excellence make him an outstanding addition to our Advisory Board. His commitment to innovation and collaboration aligns perfectly with ITPS Canada's Vision to lead the future of aerospace training through operational excellence. With the support of our senior leadership team and Advisory Board, we will continue to enhance sovereign flight test and tactical training capability for Canada and our allies at this critical time. George Burton will play a pivotal role in helping to guide the continued growth of our facilities in both London and North Bay," said Dave Lohse, CEO of ITPS Canada.
