Philippines largest low cost carrier, Cebu Pacific Air selected the L3Harris Technologies Flight Data Connect web-based platform for its flight data monitoring and flight operational quality assurance to enhance flight and pilot safety.

Flight Data Connect complies with international civil aviation regulators’ mandatory flight data monitoring requirements. Its speed and thoroughness will enable Cebu Pacific Air to enhance its safety performance monitoring capability, as well as crew training and performance.

“Flight Data Connect will empower Cebu Pacific Air to leverage and actively use their fleet data to analyze aircraft operational performance and identify safety risks,” said Alan Crawford, President L3Harris Commercial Aviation. “The intuitive analytics platform delivers operators multiple reporting tools and sorting capabilities to identify risk parameters and take immediate safety, maintenance, efficiency, training, and operational improvement actions.”

Cebu Pacific Air will be able to perform analysis on more than 4,000 data points, including 751 safety events and 320 maintenance events received from any flight data recorder, using the state-of-the-art, secure Flight Data Connect web-based platform. It recreates flights in 3D and provides flight operations with an intuitive interface to search, track, and prepare reports for each flight. This critical flight data monitoring information addresses safety and maintenance risk factors by comparing the data against flight and fleet performance trend standard operating procedures.

As an International Air Transport Association strategic partner, L3Harris captures over 7,600 flights daily into the flight data exchange. This database of global de-identified data enables Cebu Pacific Air to perform platform-based and industry-based benchmarking comparisons across their fleets for operational analysis and efficiency.
