India – Chimes Aviation Academy (CAA), a Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)-approved flying training organisation, has reported its combined flight operations for August and September 2026. The figures provide an updated measure of aircraft utilisation and solo flight training activity across the academy's operations.
- The academy recorded 6,557 flying hours across 4,302 flights and 6,902 landings during the two-month period.
- Solo flying accounted for 3,575 hours, representing approximately 54.5% of total reported flight time.
- AFM previously reported that CAA recorded 6,682 flight hours, 4,860 flights, 7,570 landings and 3,312 solo hours during June and July 2026. Compared with the preceding two-month period, total flying hours decreased by approximately 1.9%, while solo hours increased by 7.9%.
- Combining CAA's three consecutive operational disclosures from April through September 2026, the academy has recorded 21,103 flying hours, 14,431 flights, 22,214 landings and 10,922 solo hours across the six-month period.
- CAA's training fleet comprises 33 aircraft, including nine Cessna 172 R/S, 17 Piper Archer DX, four Tecnam P2010 and three Diamond DA42 aircraft. The academy also operates three training simulators representing the Piper PA-28-181, Cessna 172 and Diamond DA42.
