India – Chimes Aviation Academy (CAA), one of India's largest flight training group's, has reported its combined flying operations data for February and March 2026, posting 6,612 hours flown across 4,841 flights with 8,027 landings — reflecting the academy's growing training throughput as its fleet and cadet program continue to scale.
- Solo flying accounting for approximately 46% of total hours, indicating a significant proportion of students progressing through the mid-to-advanced stages of their training programmes.
- The operational data follows a period of rapid expansion at CAA. In March 2026, the academy inducted a record 67 cadets into Batch ICP 11 of the CAA IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program — the largest single intake in the program's history. Batch ICP 10 inducted 47 cadets in January 2026.
- CAA has been investing heavily in fleet growth to support rising cadet volumes. The academy added seven Piper Archer aircraft to its fleet in early 2026, bringing the fleet to approximately 34 training aircraft across its two Madhya Pradesh bases at Dhana and Neemuch.
- The CAA IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program, launched in 2019, has produced hundreds of cockpit-ready pilots across its six-year partnership with IndiGo. In January 2026, the academy hosted the IndiGo Learning & Development Team for a two-day CBTA alignment engagement at its Neemuch Airbase facilities.
