China – China Eastern Airlines has ordered 25 Airbus A330neo widebody aircraft in a deal with a list price of approximately USD 9.35 billion, marking the first major Chinese widebody order for Airbus since 2025.

  • The 25 A330neo order is the first Chinese widebody aircraft purchase from Airbus since last year, following a series of major Chinese narrowbody orders including China Eastern's own March 2026 deal for 101 A320neo aircraft at a list price of USD 15.8 billion.
  • Deliveries are scheduled between 2029 and 2033, subject to Chinese government approval, with China Eastern citing fuel efficiency and carbon-neutrality goals as key factors in the widebody selection.
