Minnesota, USA – Cirrus Aircraft has announced the Cirrus Perspective Core flight deck, built on Garmin AXIS avionics, for its purpose-built TRAC10 training aircraft, featuring dual 11.6-inch touchscreen displays, enhanced synthetic vision, and an optional third display at the rear observer station. With over 100 orders secured from 13 flight schools worldwide and a $499,900 starting price, the TRAC10's combination of a modern glass flight deck, three-seat dual-student configuration, and turbocharged Rotax powerplant positions the aircraft as a direct competitor to legacy training platforms.
- The TRAC10 is equipped as standard with dual 11.6-inch high-resolution touchscreen displays, each configurable as a primary flight display (PFD) or multi-function display (MFD), with the Engine Indication System (EIS) always visible and full-screen or split-screen configuration options.
- The aircraft's three-seat configuration enables two students to train simultaneously with one instructor, with an optional third display positioned at the rear observer station to support observational learning — a configuration Cirrus describes as an industry first for training aircraft.
- Avionics features include Enhanced Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT), 3D SafeTaxi providing three-dimensional airport environment views, Runway Occupancy Awareness using ADS-B traffic data, and Pathway guidance displaying the route visually in the sky including enroute legs and course intercepts.
- The TRAC10 is powered by a 160-horsepower turbocharged Rotax 916 iSc engine with Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) and single-lever power management, burning as little as 5.9 gallons per hour at 65% cruise power and supporting multiple fuel options including 100LL AvGas, unleaded 91/94, and select Mogas blends.
- Cirrus IQ provides fleet intelligence through wireless aircraft data transmission, integration with third-party flight debriefing tools and fleet management dashboards, automatic database updates, and digital monitoring of fuel, fluids, and maintenance intervals.
- The TRAC10 will be manufactured at Cirrus headquarters in Duluth, Minnesota, with U.S. deliveries beginning in 2027 and international deliveries starting in 2028.
- Cirrus has secured over 100 TRAC10 aircraft orders from 13 professional flight schools worldwide, at a starting price of $499,900 per aircraft.
