Global – Cirrus Aircraft has expanded its Cirrus Approach™ Flight Training curriculum with the launch of the Cirrus Instrument Rating Program, designed by Cirrus Instructor Pilots for pilots pursuing an FAA Instrument Rating in a Cirrus aircraft.

• The program combines self-study modules with in-person training delivered through Cirrus Training Centers.

• To date, over 25,000 users have completed 33,000 courses through Cirrus Approach, reflecting the scale of Cirrus’ investment in training and pilot safety.

• The curriculum provides a clear progression for Cirrus owners, enabling pilots to expand operational flexibility, fly in more varied weather, and adopt best safety practices.

• The program structure includes:

  • Flight Lessons – adaptable to students’ experience levels.

  • Knowledge Test Prep – new learning platform functionality to prepare students for the FAA written exam.

  • Supplemental Lessons – designed for students transitioning directly from Private Pilot Licence training.

• Program duration ranges from one to four months, depending on prior experience.

• Pricing begins at USD 950 for course materials, excluding instructor fees, aircraft rental, and fuel.
