Cirrus Introduces New Instrument Rating Program
Global – Cirrus Aircraft has expanded its Cirrus Approach™ Flight Training curriculum with the launch of the Cirrus Instrument Rating Program, designed by Cirrus Instructor Pilots for pilots pursuing an FAA Instrument Rating in a Cirrus aircraft.

The program combines self-study modules with in-person training delivered through Cirrus Training Centers.

To date, over 25,000 users have completed 33,000 courses through Cirrus Approach, reflecting the scale of Cirrus’ investment in training and pilot safety.

The curriculum provides a clear progression for Cirrus owners, enabling pilots to expand operational flexibility, fly in more varied weather, and adopt best safety practices.

The program structure includes:

Flight Lessons – adaptable to students’ experience levels.

Knowledge Test Prep – new learning platform functionality to prepare students for the FAA written exam.

Supplemental Lessons – designed for students transitioning directly from Private Pilot Licence training.

Program duration ranges from one to four months, depending on prior experience.

Pricing begins at USD 950 for course materials, excluding instructor fees, aircraft rental, and fuel.
