Global – Cirrus Aircraft has launched the SR Series Annual Flight Review Course through its Cirrus Approach digital learning platform, providing a structured recurrent training program for SR20, SR22, and SR22T pilots regardless of current aircraft ownership.
- The course comprises three sequential segments: online learning via the Cirrus Approach platform, ground instruction, and flight instruction with a Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot (CSIP), with key focus areas including stabilized approaches and go-arounds.
- The program is designed to be completed in a single half-day session with a CSIP and will be updated annually to reflect current safety priorities across the SR Series fleet.
- Completing the course satisfies the FAA Flight Review requirement under 14 CFR Part 61.56, which mandates a flight review every two years for all pilots holding a US certificate.
- The course is available through the Cirrus Approach portal or via any Cirrus Training Center or CSIP, and is accessible to pilots who no longer own a Cirrus aircraft, broadening its reach across the global SR Series owner and pilot community.
Statements
- "Cirrus is dedicated to promoting continuous flight training as a lifestyle. By increasing instructional touchpoints beyond just those required, Cirrus is creating more opportunities for pilots to practice critical skills in a safe and structured environment and then apply them in flight," said Zean Nielsen, CEO, Cirrus.
