Commercial Pilot Licenses issued in India was 30% down in 2020 to approximately 741!

The government is supporting the sector through a number of initiatives including:
- Airports Authority of India (AAI) having awarded a number of airports to Flight Schools resulting in around 8 new Flight School bases
- Government Flight School IGRUA receiving additional aircraft and looking at opening additional bases (already trains at Gondia and Maharashtra)
- Maharashtra government is trying to collaborate with aviation companies to train 25 people every year as commercial pilots
