Coptersafety Orders 2nd AW139 TRU Level D Full Flight Simulator for Helsinki Facility

Finland – Coptersafety and TRU Simulation have signed an agreement to deploy a new AW139 Level D Full Flight Simulator (FFS) at Coptersafety’s training facility near Helsinki International Airport. This will be Coptersafety’s second AW139 FFS from TRU, and is designed to support advanced mission‑profile training.

  • The new simulator will be equipped with advanced avionics, realistic flight dynamics, and high‑fidelity visuals. Enhancements include motion, vibration cues, smoke generation, and scenario‑based mission environments.

  • It will support training for offshore, search and rescue (SAR), emergency medical services (EMS), among other mission types, in a controlled simulated environment.

  • Qualification will be to Level D standard by EASA, the UK CAA, FAA, and other major aviation authorities.

  • The simulator is expected to be operational in the first half of 2027.
