Delta Air Lines Expands Flame Aviation V9000 Commander™ Fire Training Rollout Company-Wide with 4 Additional Units

May 18, 2026

USA – Flame Aviation, the Netherlands-headquartered global specialist in cabin crew fire training equipment, has announced that Delta Air Lines is expanding its use of Flame's V9000 Commander™ fire training technology company-wide, with the addition of four more units.

  • Delta Air Lines first commissioned its initial V9000 Commander™ from Flame Aviation two years ago and has since gained extensive operational experience with the platform's effectiveness, reliability, and support capabilities.
  • The decision to roll out Flame fire training across the airline's entire training operation represents a significant scaling from the initial single-unit deployment to a company-wide adoption.
  • The V9000 Commander™ is a next-generation fire trainer designed to deliver high-fidelity, safe, and repeatable fire training scenarios for cabin crew, including training for modern lithium-ion battery fire incidents.

Flame Aviation is recognized as the industry standard in fire trainers, with the V9000 Commander™ in use by airlines and training organizations worldwide.
