Dutch ATO SimFlying Completes First Airbus A320 APS MCC Training Class

Netherlands – Aalsmeer-based pilot training organisation SimFlying has completed training for its first Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Cooperation (APS MCC) class following its certification as an Approved Training Organisation in August 2026. A second APS MCC class has already started, moving the organisation from its initial certification phase into recurring approved airline-preparation training delivery.

• SimFlying’s APS MCC includes 40 hours of simulator training on its Airbus A320-based FNPT II MCC, alongside an online self-study phase and ground school. The complete instructor-led ground school and simulator phase is normally completed within approximately three weeks.
• SimFlying’s current program schedule lists monthly APS MCC classes, with its August 17 and September 14, 2026 intakes fully booked and a further class scheduled for November 9. Classes are limited to a maximum of four participants.
• The program includes two to four weeks of self-study before the classroom and simulator phases. Training addresses multi-crew cooperation, airline procedures, cockpit workflow, decision-making and jet aircraft handling across normal, abnormal and emergency scenarios.
• SimFlying also offers an aftercare pathway supporting graduates preparing for airline assessments and selections. Its current APS MCC offering is available as standard and premium packages, with the latter incorporating the wider assessment-focused support program.
• AFM previously reported that SimFlying received its ILT Approved Training Organisation certification in August 2026 and that its Airbus A320 simulator was qualified as an FNPT II MCC under reference NL-271. At that stage, the first APS MCC class had already commenced; its completion now represents the first full training cycle delivered under the new approval.
• The A320 device entered SimFlying’s operation in 2024 and is a fixed-base simulator incorporating a full cockpit, force-feedback controls, functional circuit breakers and oxygen masks, and a 4K visual system. SimFlying also operates a Boeing 737NG fixed-base simulator at its Aalsmeer facility for activities including airline assessment preparation and other professional training.
