Nigeria & Netherlands – Dutch Aviation Trainers (DAT), the Netherlands-based EASA-certified Approved Training Organisation, has conducted client visits in Lagos, Nigeria, including meetings at Air Peace's corporate headquarters to deepen pilot training collaboration, particularly on the Boeing 737 NG fleet, while continuing ongoing Embraer E1 and E2 type rating training for the airline's pilots.

  • Air Peace hosted DAT at its Lagos headquarters to discuss expanded training collaboration for the airline's pilot workforce, with DAT currently delivering Embraer E1 and E2 aircraft training and both parties now advancing cooperation on Boeing 737 NG training.
  • During the visit, DAT met with Dr. Allen Onyema, Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, Nigeria's largest private airline, which has been a client of Dutch Aviation Trainers since the ATO's early days of operations. DAT presented Dr. Onyema with a Delft Blue decorative plate as a token of appreciation for the longstanding partnership.
  • The discussions also addressed Schengen visa challenges experienced by Nigerian aviation professionals traveling to Europe for type rating and recurrent training — a persistent operational barrier for African airlines and pilots accessing European simulator training facilities.
