E-Flight Academy Marks Five Years with 80+ Graduates, Full ATPL Offering, and Growing Electric Training Fleet

June 2, 2026

Netherlands – E-Flight Academy, the electric flight training specialized provider at Teuge Airport, has marked five years of operations since launching in 2021 with two electric aircraft (Pipistrel Velis Electro) and one conventional trainer, growing into a full training operation with more than 10 flight training modules available in-house and a full ATPL pathway with a significant portion of flight hours completed on electric aircraft.

  • More than 80 pilots have trained and graduated from E-Flight Academy since 2021, demonstrating that an electric-integrated training model can deliver consistent graduate throughput alongside its sustainability proposition.
  • The academy has expanded from its startup fleet to offer a complete ATPL training pathway, with theory, planning, and operational contact delivered through a modern online environment alongside practical flight training on both electric and conventional aircraft.
  • E-Flight Academy's growth trajectory validates the commercial viability of integrating electric aircraft into structured professional pilot training, moving beyond the initial sustainability narrative to demonstrate that the model produces qualified pilots to the same standard as conventional training operations.
  • The academy holds a training contract with the Dutch Ministry of Defense, is the partner ATO for the Corendon Dutch Airlines ATPL cadet program with electric flight integration, and previously set a record of 175 solar-powered flights in a single month (June 2024).
