easyJet is looking for a dedicated Training Manager to focus holistically on all elements of Pilot Recurrent Training to build a relevant, engaging and meaningful training programme for our pilots. This is an opportunity to be part of a team to support our long term success as an airline.
JOB PURPOSE
- To be responsible for the Pilot Recurrent Training Programme and to continually improve training effectiveness ensuring regulatory compliance.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Instructional Design – Ownership and delivery of the Pilot Recurrent Training Programme
- Analysis – to ensure the training programme is relevant to our organisational needs
- Assist with the management of the Training Content Review Meeting (Including ATQP requirements)
- Analyse inner and outer loop sources for training needs
- Define all required training (including CRM) and checking elements IAW OM-DF and regulations.
- Design – to strengthen Pilot competencies in training that transfer to operational performance improvements on the line
- Select the most relevant elements of the recurrent programme to achieve the objective of the training need
- Design training that complies with all regulatory requirements
- Define method to collect and maintain records of training in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Development – converting the output from the design phase into the final product
- Produce final instructional assets
- Liaise with other SMEs to produce relevant final instructional assets
- Implementation – to ensure that the rollout of the training programme is successful for all stakeholders
- Provide NP-CTs with draft final content for approval and demonstrate regulatory compliance.
- Provide support for instructors
- Provide a communication plan for the rollout of the programme
- Distribute training materials
- Evaluation – to continually improve the training system
- Review feedback from trainees and trainers to improve training effectiveness
- Review training effectiveness using department framework
- Analysis – to ensure the training programme is relevant to our organisational needs
- Actively participate in the Training Management Team
- Propose drafts changes for OM-DF as required.
- Ensure Training Materials are regularly reviewed and updated
- Actively participate in working groups / projects and other tasks as requested by the Chief Training Captain.
- Attend monthly Training Management Meeting (TMM).
- Participate in an on-call Duty Training Manager shift system.
- Act as a Point of Contact (POC) for a specified pool of instructors.

- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements for crew training.
- Creative and innovative mind – to challenge the status quo and focus on continually improving training effectiveness.
- Ability to think from user experience (UX) and passionate to make design decisions to maximise their experience.
- Efficient workload management to prioritise tasks and apply effective time management.
- IT skills to use programs within office 365.
