Philippines – Dubai-based airline Emirates has confirmed a pilot recruitment roadshow in Manila on 28–29 October 2026, working with local recruitment agency Industrial Personnel and Management Services, Inc. (IPAMS) to attract experienced commercial pilots for its expanding widebody operations.

  • Three recruitment sessions are scheduled at IPAMS, with presentations at 10:00 and 13:00 on 28 October and 10:00 on 29 October. Interested pilots can register through the Emirates pilot careers platform.
  • Recruitment covers three principal entry pathways: First Officer positions starting from 2,000 flight hours, Accelerated Command opportunities from 5,000 hours and Direct Entry Captain positions from 7,000 hours, subject to additional role-specific requirements.
  • The sessions will introduce Emirates' Narrowbody to Widebody Direct Entry Captain Campaign and provide information on recruitment procedures, career progression, training requirements and employment benefits. Applicants will also have opportunities to speak with Emirates pilots.
  • Emirates says it has received 27 Airbus A350 aircraft, with another 47 on order, alongside commitments for 270 Boeing 777X aircraft. The airline is expanding its experienced-pilot recruitment pipeline to support its fleet development and international operations.
  • During its 2025–26 financial year, Emirates recruited more than 450 pilots through international hiring campaigns. The airline has also outlined plans to recruit approximately 5,000 pilots over eight years to support its long-term fleet expansion.
  • Newly recruited pilots undertake training at Emirates' facilities in Dubai, including its US$135 million Crew Training Centre, opened in September 2025. The facility has six full-flight simulator bays for Airbus A350 and Boeing 777X training, with two A350 full-flight simulators operational at opening and four further devices planned. Once the expansion is complete, Emirates expects to operate 17 full-flight simulators across its Dubai training infrastructure, supporting approximately 130,000 training hours annually.
