Connecticut, USA – Epic Flight Academy has activated its new flight training campus at Danbury Municipal Airport (DXR), with its current website confirming FAA Part 141 training is now available at the Connecticut location. The academy describes Danbury as its newest campus and plans to hold a formal grand-opening event in October 2026.
About Epic Flight Academy
Epic Flight Academy is an FAA Part 141 pilot training organisation founded in 1999, with its main campus in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The academy provides training from Private Pilot through commercial, flight instructor and ATP-related pathways and states that it has trained pilots from more than 100 countries, with graduates flying for more than 300 airlines worldwide.
Epic currently lists 12 flight training campuses across eight US states: Addison and Denison, Texas; Danbury, Connecticut; Englewood, Colorado; Jacksonville, New Smyrna Beach and Ocala, Florida; Provo and St. George, Utah; Tallahassee, Florida; Tucson, Arizona; and Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It also operates FAA Part 147 aircraft mechanic schools in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and Erlanger, Kentucky.
The academy operates factory-new-generation training aircraft with glass-cockpit avionics, including Cessna 172 and Piper Seminole aircraft, alongside flight simulation equipment. Epic is also a Cessna Service Center.
