European Airline Group Retains CEO of Subsidiary Through 2030

Netherlands – Air France-KLM has confirmed the renewal of Marjan Rintel’s mandate as President & CEO of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for a second four-year term, extending her leadership through to 2030. The decision, approved by the Group’s Board of Directors, reinforces the airline’s commitment to operational and financial transformation amid a challenging aviation landscape.

  • Rintel, who took office in July 2022, will continue to oversee KLM’s restructuring efforts, focusing on improving performance, enhancing operational resilience, and aligning with Air France-KLM’s medium-term targets.

  • As a member of the Air France-KLM Executive Committee, Rintel reports directly to Group CEO Benjamin Smith, who reaffirmed his support for her leadership in navigating the post-COVID recovery phase.
  • The Group also announced plans to enhance support for KLM and intensify efforts to extract additional synergies across the Group’s network and operations.
