European Defense Ministry Partners with Flight Training Provider to Train “Kite Doctors” and Psychologists with Aviation Focus

Netherlands – E‑Flight Academy and the Ministry of Defence (Netherlands) have signed a training contract under which E‑Flight will provide theory and flight‑training programmes for groups of “kite doctors” and “kite psychologists” to build expertise in the special conditions faced by military airmen.

• The contract covers medical and psychological specialists who will develop aviation‑aware expertise to support airmen at the Ministry of Defence.

• Groups 1 & 2 have commenced training and are already well advanced in their flight‑training phase.

• Groups 3 & 4 are scheduled to begin their training in the first half of 2026.

• The collaboration aligns with E‑Flight’s electric‑flying and sustainability focus; previous joint activities with the Ministry included electric introductory flights using the Pipistrel Velis Electro.

• The initiative reflects broader pilot‑training industry trends where flight‑schools expand into ancillary training domains (e.g., medical/psychological support) and strengthen partnerships with defence organisations.
