European Flight School Adds Additional Integrated ATPL Class as Demand Surges at End of 2025

December 9, 2025

Ireland – Atlantic Flight Training Academy (AFTA) has announced the addition of an extra Integrated ATPL class to meet exceptionally strong year-end demand, marking a high point as the academy closes out 2025. The newly enrolled cadets have joined pathways including the Ryanair Future Flyer Academy, the Vista Jet Mentored Programme, and AFTA’s Fully Integrated First Officer Pilot Training Programme.

  • The final Integrated intake of 2025 was created to accommodate candidates eager to begin training before the new year, reflecting sustained demand for airline-focused pilot training in Ireland and across Europe.
  • Over the next 18 months, the new cadets will progress through AFTA’s ab-initio to airline-ready curriculum, supported by advanced simulation and multi-aircraft fleet operations.
  • Founded in 1995, AFTA has trained more than 2,800 pilots and currently operates a 26-aircraft fleet alongside advanced simulators, including Boeing 737NG and 737 MAX 8200 devices.
  • AFTA maintains long-standing partnerships with major airlines such as Ryanair, Air Astana, Vista Jet, ASL Airlines Ireland, and Globe Air, and collaborates with Munster Technological University (MTU) on academic programmes.
