European Flight Training Group FTEJerez Welcomes Over 20 Instructors and Examiners to November 2025 Recruitment Open Day in the UK
United Kingdom – FTEJerez, a Spain-headquartered flight training group which recently launched UK base, has hosted an exclusive Recruitment Open Day at its London Oxford Airport training base as part of its ongoing instructor and examiner workforce expansion strategy.
-
The event, held in November, welcomed more than 20 flight instructors and examiners, reflecting sustained demand for experienced training staff across FTEJerez’s integrated and airline-aligned pilot training programmes.
-
Senior leadership in attendance included the Head of Training, Chief Flying Instructor, Deputy HR Manager, and HR Assistant, underlining the academy’s focus on direct engagement with instructional talent.
-
The open day provided candidates with detailed insight into FTEJerez’s training philosophy, operational standards, fleet and simulator environment, and long-term career opportunities within the organisation.
Earlier in the summer of 2025 FTEJerez opened a new flight training base at London Oxford Airport. This marked its first physical presence in the UK in more than three decades.
-
FTEJerez signed contracts to operate from London Oxford Airport, where construction of bespoke facilities tailored to its operations has been approved.
-
The academy initially deployed two Diamond DA42 twin-engine trainers to provide training aligned with UK CAA licensing requirements.
-
The new base will allow FTEJerez to offer both UK CAA and dual UK/EASA licence pathways, enhancing support for British Airways and Jet2 cadets as well as self-sponsored students.
-
Scalability has been built into the site’s planning, enabling potential expansion in response to growing demand.
-
The move represents a return to the UK for FTEJerez, which originally began as BAE Systems Flying College in Prestwick in 1988 before relocating to Spain in the 1990s.
