European Flyers Takes Delivery of First Tecnam P2010 TDI from 12-Aircraft Order

Spain – EASA-approved pilot training organisation European Flyers has taken delivery of its first Tecnam P2010 TDI, beginning deliveries under a 12-aircraft fleet renewal agreement signed with the Italian manufacturer in April 2026. The programme introduces additional Garmin G1000 NXi-equipped, Jet A1-powered training capacity as European Flyers modernises its aircraft and simulator infrastructure following its 2025 merger with Aerotec.

• The first aircraft is the initial delivery from a 12-unit P2010 TDI acquisition valued at more than €7 million. Tecnam and European Flyers signed the agreement at AERO Friedrichshafen on April 28, 2026, and the aircraft has now been delivered from Tecnam’s facility in Capua, Italy.
• The P2010 TDI is a four-seat, single-engine aircraft powered by a 170 hp Continental CD-170 engine using Jet A1 fuel. Tecnam lists a maximum cruise speed of 140 knots and equips the training configuration with Garmin G1000 NXi avionics; European Flyers’ aircraft also features an integrated autopilot.
• European Flyers said the new aircraft will be progressively incorporated into its training operations as part of a wider fleet renewal programme.
• The agreement also includes technical training for European Flyers’ maintenance personnel to support the introduction and continuing operation of the new aircraft. European Flyers also operates as an EASA Part-CAO Combined Airworthiness Organisation under approval ES.CAO.021 and is a Tecnam Authorised Service Centre.
• Tecnam positions the Jet A1-powered P2010 TDI as a lower-consumption alternative to conventional AvGas-powered training aircraft. The manufacturer states that the model burns approximately 5.2 US gallons per hour under its cited operating conditions; actual fuel consumption and emissions reductions will vary according to mission and operating profile.
• AFM previously reported that European Flyers committed more than €7 million to the 12-aircraft P2010 TDI order in April 2026. AFM subsequently reported in June that the training organisation selected an ALSIM Airliner FNPT II MCC and an ALX simulator for its Madrid and Alicante operations, placing the aircraft delivery within a broader post-merger training infrastructure modernisation programme.
