Denmark & Finland – headquartered Grey Bird Pilot Academy, a flight training group in Europe, is set to open a new base in Helsinki, Finland in January 2026. The flight training group currently operates in Denmark, Sweden and Spain.

In January AFM reported that Grey Bird Pilot Academy had welcomed 40 new students across its bases in Denmark and Sweden, marking a 60% increase from the previous year.

"To support this growth, we have set a strong three-year strategy that will guide us on this exciting journey. In the near future, we are excited to expand with new bases in Dublin 🇮🇪, Paris 🇫🇷, Lyon 🇫🇷, and Helsinki 🇫🇮." shared Kasper Bye Lassen, CCO at Greybird at that time. In November 2024 Grey Bird Aviation Group, the company behind Denmark’s largest and one of the leading pilot schools in the Nordics, Grey Bird Pilot Academy, had sold a significant minority stake to the Danish private equity firm, Dansk Ejerkapital. This strategic partnership aims to propel the academy’s ambitious growth plans, including expansion into multiple European markets.
