European Training Organisation Expands into Georgia Amid Rising Demand for EASA-Aligned Pilot Training

December 10, 2025

Georgia / Czech Republic – Blue Sky Academy, originally founded at Kladno Airport in the Czech Republic as part of the Cessna Pilot Center network, has highlighted the rapid growth and evolution of its Georgia training base at Natakhtari Airport, now one of the region’s most active EASA-aligned pilot-training environments. The expansion into Georgia—launched two years ago—has enabled the academy to strengthen year-round flight-training availability, diversify its student base, and introduce both fixed-wing and rotorcraft training solutions.

  • Blue Sky Academy Georgia is led by General Manager Artem Kuzmenko, Deputy Head of Training and Flight Instructor Georgii Neverov, and Theory Instructor Artem Timoshin, who have shaped the branch into a student-focused training centre offering mentorship alongside technical training.
  • Georgia offers high-frequency flying weather, accessible visa conditions, and low air-traffic density, providing an optimal environment for ab-initio students before transitioning to busy European airspace.
  • The fleet currently includes two Cessna 150 trainers, with a Cessna 172 joining by year-end.
  • Georgia’s helicopter sector is expected to grow significantly, with Blue Sky already securing EASA-validated training for the Guimbal Cabri G2 and the Eurocopter EC120, enabling full PPL(H) training in-country.
  • The academy attracts students from Georgia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, the EU and the US, with most Georgian PPL students continuing training seamlessly in Prague for higher-traffic experience thanks to EASA-compliant hour credit transfer.
  • Training demand has grown from a single student two years ago to over 80 active trainees.
  • Blue Sky offers Aviation English programmes and supports full EASA pathways including PPL(A/H), IR(A), CB-IR(A), Night Rating, CPL(A), ATPL Theory, and FI(A), alongside post-licence aircraft rental and an aircraft-purchase advisory service covering EU and US markets.
