Vietnam – Czech flight training organisation F AIR participated in Career Days 2026 organised in Vietnam by airline-owned training centre Victoria Aviation Academy (formerly Vietjet Aviation Academy).

  • F AIR and VJAA operate a Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam-approved Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) program developed for future Vietjet pilots.
  • VJAA states that its MPL pathway takes approximately 18 months and includes an employment commitment for trainees who successfully complete the program and meet the airline’s applicable requirements. The academy also states that the program can reduce training costs by approximately USD 20,000 compared with its traditional CPL route.
  • The first group of eight VJAA MPL cadets arrived at F AIR in April 2025 to begin Core and Basic Phase training in the Czech Republic.
  • F AIR’s Czech training element takes approximately seven months and also allows participating cadets to work toward an EASA Private Pilot Licence while completing the CAAV-approved MPL syllabus.
  • The partnership was formalised through a training agreement in October 2024 and was subsequently presented during a January 2025 bilateral event attended by the prime ministers of Vietnam and the Czech Republic.
  • F AIR identifies Karlovy Vary as its principal base for international cadet and airline training, supported by accommodation for more than 100 students and access to controlled-airport operations. Its wider network also includes Benešov, Brno and Příbram.
  • After the aircraft-based phases, VJAA provides airline-focused instruction including MPL, multi-crew cooperation, jet orientation, Airbus A320 type-rating and recurrent training.
  • VJAA reports operating three CAE 7000XR Airbus A320 Level D full flight simulators. Its facilities also include a CAE 400XR Airbus A320 procedures trainer used for cockpit and procedural instruction.
