USA – High Tide Aviation, a flight training group based in North Carolina and Georgia, has officially received its Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 141 certification, marking a major milestone in its expansion as a structured aviation training provider.
The certification allows High Tide Aviation to offer FAA-approved Part 141 training programs, which are subject to heightened regulatory oversight and follow standardized syllabi.
Under Part 141, students benefit from reduced flight hour requirements — 35 hours for the private pilot certificate (compared to 40 under Part 61) and 190 hours for the commercial certificate (down from 250).
High Tide operates from Southport and Wilmington, NC, and St. Simons Island, GA, combining structured training with scenic coastal flying.
